Momentary Clarity

There are those days when everything seems to lack value
Like my world and my life is nothing of worth
And my staggering forward is but a great leap backwards.
A timeless void progressing to nothing
And then sometimes I am greeted by light
And I see a renewed beauty in existing
Like I have awaken from a lasting sleep
And now bathe in the morning sun.
I see the light of passion
And submerge myself in the warmth of understanding
I seek the other wonders of expression
And knowledge myself with emotion
I come to admire, appreciate, treasure
that glimpse of movement and life that I am allowed
despite its fading as unexpected as it came
I remember the beauty, the nothingness turn to substance
Happy there are days when all things become alive
But then there are those days when everything seems to lack value.
